On June 18, 2015, Pope Francis released his long-awaited environmental encyclical, "Laudato Si'." This subject guide is designed to connect users quickly to resources analyzing this document from a variety of viewpoints. It will point to resources that praise the ideas contained in the encyclical, as well as to responsible critiques, to give the user access the the whole rang of thinking on this newest addition to the social teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Some links provide access to official Catholic documents from the past that deal with the environment, others search the Catholic Portal for materials at CRRA libraries on the themes of the encyclical, and still others connect the user to Catholic news and opinion websites giving access to the ongoing discussion of this controversial landmark document,
